Several Tips for Men to Choose Desired Eyeglasses

Comfort, fit and durability are the most important for men when it comes to choosing men eyeglasses. While men are concerned with styles, they won't forsake comfort, fit and durability merely to look attractive.

About 88 percent of the respondents to a survey put forwarded by The Vision Council indicated that comfort and fit of the eyeglasses was the most essential factor in choosing an eyeglass frame, while 59 percent said that the durability of the eyeglasses was most important to them.

Since men think comfort, fit and durability are the most essential factors when they’re choosing eyeglasses, here are some keys to make sure the eyeglass frames you choose will be comfortable and fit well as well as durable.

First of all, when buying eyeglasses, you should ensure that the temples won't dig into the side of your head, and make sure the frames are wide enough for your face. What’s more, the edge of the frames should protrude slightly beyond your face so that the temples won't hurt your head as they extend to the back of your ears.

Second, you should make sure the temples are long enough. Opticians will provide plenty of eyeglasses styles in a variety of temple lengths. Moreover, the curve at the end of the temple should extend over the ears without pressing down upon them. The optician can reshape and adjust the curve when you decided to by a pair of eyeglasses, but they can't make the temples shorter or longer, so make sure you select the best length.

Third, you should also check the nosepiece. Many glasses have adjustable silicone nose pads that allow your optician to adjust them to the shape of your face. However, for frames without adjustable nose pads, you must make sure the eyeglasses won’t pinch the bridge of your nose.

Last but not the least, men who want eyeglasses that are more durable than usual should consider frames made from titanium, stainless steel and flexible materials.
